Until retired, Marion spent five years in technology management consulting across diverse industries with Transition Partners, a niche consulting firm made up of former CIOs. In addition, Marion formerly served as  Vice President and CIO for Hanger Orthopedic Group (world’s premier provider of orthotic and prosthetic services and products), the American Chemical Society, Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (publishing), and The Preferred Health Network (health insurance).  She also held senior management positions at the CSX Railroad and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Maryland.

Marion earned a BS degree in Business Administration from Towson University and an MBA from Loyola College and is one of the founding members of the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum. She has served on advisory boards for the University of Baltimore and Think Systems, Inc.  Marion also has served on the Board for the Maryland School for the Blind for 15 years including the last 3 years as Board Chair.
